Sophomore Parent  Night: Jan. 12 at 6:30 in the Theater. Sophomore students' PSAT Score Reports will be distributed, along with a presentation by Walton School Counselors on understanding the scores and utilizing the many tools from College Board to improve future PSAT and SAT performance. This meeting is intended for sophomore parents only--students are not required to attend.  **Please note-other grade level PSAT Score Reports will not be available that night, but will be given out in class the following day (1/13). Students will also receive their original test booklets and review their Score Reports in their English and math classes.

ECCC PTA Education Forum: Jan. 28th, 10:00-11:30 am, Mt. Bethel ES. Learn about current education issues (IE2, potential QBE revisions, etc.) and the impact of a high quality education on our students and community from these speakers: Int. Superintendent Chris Ragsdale, CCSD; Ms. Claire Suggs, Sr. Education Policy Analyst with GBPI, and Dr. Dana Rickman, Director, Policy & Research, GPEE.  

The International Spanish Academy at Walton will host an 8^th grade student/parent information night on Thursday, February 5^th at 6:30 in the Walton theater.  Current students will share their experiences and applications will be available.

Spring SAT and ACT Prep Classes at WHS:  Applerouth Tutoring Services is offering SAT and ACT prep classes at Walton HS beginning Tuesday, Jan. 13. The classes include 3 Mock exams, 20 hours of instruction and all student materials. Click here for more information:  Prep Classes

Walton Drama Auditions for Arthur Miller's The Crucible; Jan. 12 & 13 @3:45 Walton Theater

Prepare a 30-60 second dramatic/serious monologue, classic or contemporary.  Audition Forms will be available on waltondrama.com or from Mrs. Green's Room #B208. Bring the completed (signed by parent) Audition Form to auditions on 1/12. See also the  "Parent Packet" on the website for rehearsal and fee details. Performances 3/26-3/28.

The WHS Chorus Silent Auction and Fashion Show will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31st from 8-10pm in the Theater.  Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Walton High School's Class of 2015 Commencement Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 22nd at 2:30 pm at Kennesaw State University.  All detailed information including how to obtain tickets will be available mid-March.

The 2015 Senior Evening of Inspiration is scheduled for May 18th and we need your help to make it a special evening for YOU and YOUR classmates.  The first meeting to begin planning your event is Wednesday, Jan. 14th at 12:45 pm.  We will meet in Conference Room B to discuss the evening while enjoying some pizza.  Please join us and bring your friends along to help. 

TENNIS: Tennis tryouts start Monday January 12^th.  Varsity and JV girls tryouts start at 4:00 at the Fullers Park Tennis courts.  Varsity Boys tryouts start at 3:45 at the Walton tennis courts.  All athletes trying out need to bring a can of balls to tryouts.
