The 1913 Project: Women of Influence
This is an opportunity for collegiate chapters to demonstrate how their chapter and university are related to advancing women in education and thus in history.

In honor of these stories, the Foundation will award the top three chapters which best meet the requirements of the project. Submissions are due August 1, 2013. We encourage all chapters to participate and to appoint a committee that includes both collegians and alumnae to complete this task.

While I normally use my letter to update you on Fraternity happenings, this month feels different. And so, I thought that instead I would take time to reflect on the power of sisterhood and the women who impact our lives.

On March 7, Phi Sigma Sigma lost one of its greatest treasures. Past Grand Archon and NPC Delegate Josette George Kaufman's passing was sudden, and I know many of us are still coming to terms with her absence. Read more>

Phi Sigma Sigma, there's an app for that!

Phi Sig introduces its new mobile app.

Phi Sigma Sigma's new app allows for members to connect with one another via the "people" tab, view or post to discussions via the "discussions" tab, follow Phi Sigma Sigma on different social media portals, view our website and more.

"I love how user friendly the app is," said Director of Recruitment and Extension Alex Cheolas. "It's easy to navigate and allows me to connect with my sisters right from my phone."

To download the app, visit your device's application store and search for the app named "MemberCentric" by Results Direct. Or use your mobile device to scan the applicable QR code below.

Once downloaded, launch the application and search for "Phi Sigma Sigma." Use your Phi Sigma Sigma website credentials to login.
On the Road to Centennial...
Overview of what Leadership Conference 2013 offered our members

Phi Sigma Sigma strongly believes that ritual is our foundation. For this reason, during Leadership Conference 2013 - the Road to Centennial - ritual was the focal point.

Friday kicked off with Plenary training for archons, officer training, a Fraternity advocacy project to support FAIR Girls, a D.C. organization devoted to preventing the exploitation of girls worldwide through empowerment and education and a Foundation donor event.

Thank you to all the collegians and alumnae for their generosity. This year's fundraising efforts raised over $35,000, which will directly assist our sisters with scholarships, need-based educational grants and leadership programming.

Saturday morning LC attendees were joined by Dr. Mari Ann Callais, a ritual expert who talked about making ritual a reality. Dr. Callais offered a truly unique program about values, ritual and responsibilities of being a lifetime sorority member.

The day continued with a model initiation, where we introduced all of the hard work the Ritual Work Group put into ensuring initiation is an impactful and memorable moment for all Phi Sigma Sigma members. Saturday ended with an amazing Centennial celebration dinner hosted by Phi Sigma Sigma Fraternity.

On Sunday, our members were given a preview of our upcoming member development program. Sunday also included Chapter Excellence discussions, Foundation programming and additional officer training.

Help Support the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation
Join together and help them reach their goal!

Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation
The Foundation's goal is to honor 100 years of sisterhood by raising $100,000 for scholarships & educational grants by our Centennial Celebration this July. While we are all proud of what we were able to accomplish last year with your support, so many sisters' requests went unfulfilled, as funding ran out for the remaining 48 sisters with need totaling over $1.2 million.

We have had 184 women apply for scholarships and ed grants for 2013-2014, a 30% increase. We are looking forward to awarding, for the first time, educational grants to alumnae attending school part-time.

We need your help to raise $48,000 in 100 days.

You can sponsor a 2013 Centennial Educational Grant to truly impact a sister's life. Or, select any amount to help our Phi Sigma Sigma sisters as we celebrate 100 years of sisterhood. Click here to donate.
