"Jackpot" New Convention Format Hits the Bulls EyeAttendance at the American Farrier's Association Convention in Reno, Nevada was up a whopping 40% over last year!
Well over 500 attendees made the trip to Reno in the picturesque Sierra Nevada.
Tremendous talent was on display as the contest ran concurrently with a blacksmithing demonstration and hands on forging stations manned by world class farriers where convention goers could receive individual instruction to improve their skills. The competition also featured the new Intermediate Division and twenty seven teams in the Two Man Draft Class. There were eight live shoeing demonstrations shown on the big-screen, eleven lectures, three packed FIA MarketPlace sesions with a free breakfast during the first morning session, and thirty five great sponsors (see the links to the left, let them know you appreciate their support). On top of all this action, there was still time to sit back, relax and visit. For the Grand Finale, a big crowd showed up for the free banquet at the AFA Annual Auction, Awards Ceremony and Reception for some great food, camaraderie and spirited bidding on an amazing collection of auction items that were donated. A great big Thank You to all who participated in this fantastic event!!!! We're looking forward to Kansas City in 2015!!
