Mission of the AFA

"To further the professional development of farriers, to provide leadership and resources for the benefit of the farrier industry, and to improve the welfare of the horse through continuing farrier education.

Moon and Blurton to demo in Reno at 2014 Convention!!

Yes it's true, if you were in Baton Rouge, then you know just how good the AFA educational program is but wait till you see the lineup for Reno in 2014.  Yes, Reno, Nevada in 2014 will be the greatest Convention ever and an educational venue like none you have ever seen.  Just a sneak preview of Reno is all that our new Convention Coordinating Committee is willing to let out at this early date but if you have ever watched Moon or Blurton in action then you know what I'm talking about.  They will be in Reno lecturing and demonstrating so you can get a front row seat and really see just how it's done.  How to be a more proficient farrier?  Come to Reno next year and find out for yourself.

Special thanks to Eric Nygaard and Greg Johnson Co-Chairs of the Convention Coordination Committee, for their years of expert planning, putting on the Conventions for the last ten years.  We will mss their expertise, their laughter, jokes and stage antics.

We welcome our new Convention Coordinator, Phillip Box who will bring fresh new ideas to the table and work with his Committee to bring us "The Greatest Show on Earth".
