Hoof Talk - At AFA We Speak the Language!

Packed days, educational seminars, networking and mentoring are just a few of the reasons you want to be there.  The 42nd Annual Convention of the American Farriers Association.

Set the stage for your success!  The American Farriers Convention in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is the best way for professionals who take their farrier business seriously to learn about the latest and greatest from the most knowledgeable folks in the industry.  Ninety nine percent of attendees rate our Convention as an excellent value.

Seeing is Believing!  Like no other in our industry, the AFA Convention features a learning venue covering a broader spectrum of topics than any similar event anywhere.  An investment that once you consider all you get in return in the way of learning at the Convention seminar sessions and networking you will agree "well worth the cost"

Recharge your Batteries! In our industry there is no better way to have fun, learn a lot and make new friends than by attending the American Farriers Association Convention.  See you in Baton Rouge 2013, Reno 2014, Mobile 2016.  AFA, always the most bang for your buck!!

Happy Holidays!!!  Happy Holidays!!!  Happy Holidays!!!

Well here we are smack dab in the middle of the Holiday Season and everyone at AFA would sincerely like to wish each and every one of you a season filled with peace, love and joy.

AFLAC Insurance for AFA Members

AFLAC has a supplemental insurance policy for AFA members that everyone needs to consider. One very important question was in regards to those amongst us that are currently uninsured. AFLAC does not require you to have standard health insurance with another carrier. So this allows those of us that do not have insurance to at least afford coverage in two of the top three areas of health concerns: cancer, heart attack and injury. (FYI, the number 3 of the top three is surprisingly hospital visits). Please take the time to look into this great opportunity.

A hotline as well as a website devoted just to AFA members is now available!  Contact 1-877-374-6917 or visit www.aflac.com/americanfarriers.

Rising Stars!  AFA Communications is looking for a few good people to work on the e-blast, newsletter and magazine.  If this sound exciting and interesting, contact Deb Ash at afacommcom@gmail.com or phone 859-285-8333.

Keeping It In The Family

Are you and another family member members of the AFA?  If so, are you both certified?  If the answer is yes, tell us about it!  We are curious as to how many father/son, mother/daughter, mother/son, father/daughter, brother and sisters there are that are both certified.  If you fit that bill, please contact the AFA office and let us know!

A few of the father/son teams we are currently aware of are Chris and Cody Gregory, CJF, Doug and Jacob Butler, CJF, and Ritner and RJ Goff.
