Good morning,
It was such a beautiful weekend, I hope you got to enjoy some time outside in the sunshine!
It is wonderful getting to know each and every one of you as we navigate the joys and challenges of early childhood development together in class! I use the word together because I mean just that. We are all in this together! It is refreshing to see so many of the families in our program connecting and supporting each other both in and outside of class!
Each one of you has your own unique story. In Sprouting Melodies, we celebrate that uniqueness and respect that everyone comes in to class with their own "stuff." I like to call our music room the "Judgement Free Zone" because often times, parents and caregivers do feel judged in public places. At our center, we strive to create an environment where everyone can feel welcome, supported, and safe.
I wrote a similar email to this titled "Behavior" which talks about the many typical but challenging behaviors that children exhibit as they explore, test, and learn. Children need practice and guidance to learn self-control and appropriate behavior and it is up to us to help them! You can read the email here.
In class your Sprouting Melodies Provider may stop the music or change the music to help support children in learning things such as self-control, social skills, emotional awareness, and safe alternative behaviors. Everyone can learn from this even though your child may not be throwing, hitting, or crying. This information will be helpful for a tough day in your house! Just remember, we are all here to support the healthy development of these young children while having fun, learning, and growing together!

I'll see you in class!
