SPRING & SUMMER @ RKG

Here at the ROBERT KLEIN GALLERY, we're planning renovations to our showroom space and will begin construction in early June. Summer exhibitions will take place exclusively at ARS LIBRI (500 Harrison Ave), where we have mounted satellite shows since June 2012.

This month, we're highlighting Showstoppers, the photographers whose work made a splash at the past year's art fairs (Paris Photo 2012, The Armory Show - Modern 2013, and The AIPAD Photography Show New York 2013).

Included in the exhibition are contemporary photographers PAULETTE TAVORMINA, CIG HARVEY, JESSICA BACKHAUS, BILL JACOBSON, and JULIE BLACKMON. Twentieth century masters IRVING PENN, BERENICE ABBOTT, ALFRED STIEGLITZ and RICHARD AVEDON will also have work on display. Showstoppers opens at Ars Libri on June 7, as part of SOWA's First Fridays, and runs through June 29.

CAROL GOLEMBOSKI'S iPAD APP PSYCHOMETRY
WINS OUTSTANDING eBOOK ACHIEVEMENT

Just over a year ago, CAROL GOLEMBOSKI began to develop an iPad app to showcase her work. We are proud to announce that Psychometry is now available on the iPad App Store and has been selected as one among twelve 2013 Outstanding Books of the Year by the Independent Publisher Book Awards, winning the category of "Outstanding eBook Achievement."

Psychometry is an interactive artist's book that entices viewers to explore Golemboski's haunting imagery. Golemboski's psychologically charged photographic still lifes are illuminated with new media; studio tours, location shots, essays, video interviews and process demonstrations give viewers insight into the mind of the artist. SPECIAL EDITION PRINTS

In conjunction with the release of Psychometry, Golemboski has produced a special edition of small prints. Two images, Planisphere Celeste and Blind Bird (pictured above), are available as 6.5 x 6.5 inch toned gelatin silver prints in editions of 10. Editions start at $700.
