Breaking News
Deadline for Ordering Flagship Tees is Monday, September 7!

Update: Wow! We've sold nearly 100 shirts over our goal and raised over $5,400. To everyone who bought a shirt, donated, or plans to, thank you so much!

You still have time to support America's Flagship with the purchase of a new, limited-edition tee featuring art by Paul Stipkovich, a talented artist and designer and the Conservancy's New York Chapter Chair.

This exclusive design was only going to be available for purchase until Labor Day. However, we've extended the cut-off for ordering one of these shirts until Tuesday the 8th. Make sure you don't miss out!

Raise a Flag on the Foredeck of the SS United States!

Here's an exciting new way to show your support for the SS United States: Let us make a special, personalized banner and hang it for you on the ship's foredeck!

Our four-by-two-and-a-half feet-long colorful banners can be customized with tribute messages, logos, or names of loved ones.

We are ready to mount your personalized banner for a donation of $750. These offer a great opportunity for chapters, families, and groups to come together and Save Our Ship.  We'll also offer a special shipboard tour and photo session for our flagholders on September 17.

Questions about this special opportunity? Email us at info@ssusc.org

Executive Director's Update

Dear Conservancy Supporters:

On this Labor Day weekend, I'm thinking about how the SS United States emerged - and remains afloat today - because of the hard work of so many men and women over so many years, from the welders and fitters at Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company, from the navigators and stewards of United States Lines, to today's hardworking team from Atlantic Logistics tending to the ship at Philadelphia's Pier 82.  Our work is not yet done: the Conservancy is laboring to raise the funds to keep "America's Flagship" insured, docked, and protected while redevelopment and curatorial plans advance.  Thank you so much for supporting our work - from becoming Conservancy members to purchasing tickets to our major event in Philadelphia on October 29, to ordering customized flags for the ship's foredeck, to buying our dazzling new teeshirts (note the Labor Day ordering deadline!).  We've achieved major momentum in our current campaign. We've almost reached the half-way mark: We've raised almost $86,000 of our $180,000 goal.  As we enter the campaign's final stretch, we will continue to honor the hard work, determination, and ambition that went into creating the "perfect ship."

As always, we can't thank you enough for your continued support.

Best wishes,

In gratitude,

One-step Membership Renewal

You can magnify the impact of your Conservancy donation by signing up for our monthly giving program.  For as little as $5 per month, you can provide the Conservancy with a crucial, ongoing source of financial support.

If you currently give $50 each year, consider donating $5 per month. If you give $100 each year, consider a donation of $10 per month. If 6,000 supporters pledged only $10 per month, the SS United States' core carrying costs would be covered for an entire year!

By joining this program, you'll  still receive all Conservancy membership benefits. Best of all, you can do this with just a single click!

Here's how: When you click the Donate button within our newsletter, there's a checkbox to the right of the box for your donation amount. Click that checkbox, and whatever dollar amount you enter will automatically be deducted each month. You can also find the link on our website just below the red Donate Now button here.

As we get ready to launch our  membership renewal drive, we'd like to again thank you for your generous support on behalf of the SS United States!
