If reports are to be believed, many women receive an extra benefit from exercising at the gym. Specifically, those last few reps during core exercises seem to be the source of intense pleasure.

Last Week's Question
|
7 in 10 readers thought the shot from the player at left deserved a conduct penalty.
Your comments are below:
- that is a disgusting shot.
- it shows true poor sportsmanship.
- i am amazed a very strong rebuke (point penalty at least) was not issued at the time.
- the shot was intended to hit her opponent. no mistake.no doubt about it.
- It could be viewed as the opponent walking into the shot thus preventing the striker from playing the shot of choice. If the same situation occurs repeatedly, then it could be viewed as dangerous play. she should ask for let. let, with a strong warning
- Legal but tacky Dirty, but a part if game. Otherwise no aggressive boasts would be played I don't see this as a deliberate or dirty shot. It was, however, unquestionably a dangerous and reckless one and there should have been at least a warning for dangerous play and perhaps even a stroke awarded
- Intentional! Conduct stroke at least! Shoud maybe have been pealized furthre, i.e. loss of game or even match!
- She should have played cross-court to the left back corner.
- YL with a conduct warning
- 1. There is no such thing as a "Conduct Point". The correct terminology is "Conduct Stroke."2. The opponent is moving towards the T -- she should be moving the other way, so it is not entirely the fault of the striker. However, hitting the opponent with the ball is never "part of the game": it must be avoided wherever possible.
- I think it should be a stroke in favor of the striker - the opponent is clearly in the triangle.
- Both, it is a let for that rally but with a stern Conduct Warning (or more if it was clearly deliberate) to stop play before hittning the opponent. Dangerous and unnecessary. Play it! I think opponent jumped into a bad shot
- There should be a third choice. No let, but how did she not see the other player

TRUTH & Rumors
|
Congratulations to World Referee Mike Riley and his lovely, wife Carol. Both became American citizens this past week.- Bates College's trailblazing coach, Pat Cosquer has put his recruiting machine into hyper drive. His men's team finished 13th in the nation last year. But lookout. With Darius Campbell, Carlos Ames, Nima Olumi, Creighton Foulkes, Spencer Burt, and yet another world-class Egyptian named Ahmed entering as freshman, the Bobcats are poised to noisily be a top 10 powerhouse for years to come.
- Oh yeah, his women finished top 10 last season and aren't looking backwards.
- PST WAG's were turning heads in Westchester last week.
- Stephanie, wife of Tertius Raubenheimer, was charming as ever. And Caroline, who escorted Ned Marks to his match certainly lit up the room.
- But it was Ricky Weisskopf's long-time GF Virginia who stole the show, when she got on court, in a gorgeous white dress, to help Ricky warm up for his match. She hits a nice ball, actually.
- Speaking of PST players romantic lives, we hear wedding bells are in the future for good guy Rob Wilkins, who coaches at Stamford, CT's SquashAlley.
- Brett Erasmus tweeted here that Ramy Ashour is skipping the US Open because he's too busy promoting squash's inclusion in the Olympics.
- But Alan Thatcher writes here that it is poor planning by the PSA that forced the Egyptian's hand.
- Who to believe?
- Speaking of Ramy, we've heard it on the best authority that Ramy Ashour is trying to move to America - fast.
- If you close your eyes and just listen to the audio, it would be impossible to tell the difference between the Geico Gekko and Stanford University Assistant Coach Richard Elliot.
- After being less than gently nudged out of a small town club, a squash pro landed at a big club in the biggest city of all. We can't believe the guys in NYC actually picked up the phone and asked for references, 'cause there's a lot of snickering and head scratching going on in the Buckeye State.
- Truth & Rumours' harsh words recently sent PSA's wunderkind Mohamed El Shorbagy into the welcoming arms of England's Squash Player Magazine Publisher.
- The west London based publishing magnate mauled us in their most recent 'From the Gallery' column after the talented Egyptian griped about T&R.
- 'course neither of 'em showed T&R to be wrong.
