United Methodists reach out to grieving city after school-bus accident

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Two children and a teacher's aide  died Tuesday, Dec. 2, when their school bus was struck by another school bus in east Knoxville.

Two Holston churches responded with prayer services to help comfort a city with a broken heart.

8 groups receive $7,500 in grants

Broadway United Methodist Church in Maryville, Tenn. (pictured) received $1,000 for its community food pantry.

First United Methodist Church of Narrows, Va., received $1,000 for a "Senior Sunshine" program.
