On behalf of the MLC-NA Leadership Team, I wish you all a blessed Advent, a joyous Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. We had a busy year at MLC-NA and the leadership and assembly teams worked hard to produce tangible benefits for our members like "The Guide to Life in the MLC-NA" and next summer's Assembly (see below for more info about both). The dedication of these teams has been outstanding and without their support, we would not be where we are today. We are an organization of the future because of them. Thank you Matt Dunn, Jim Barrette, Mallory Green, LeeAnn Meyer, Marceta Reilly, Marg Van Herk-Paradis, Fr. Ted Cassidy, SM, Susan Vogt, Kerryanne Bollman, Ken Barrett, Maureen O'Rourke, Al Prendergast, Katie Gushoney, and the entire Assembly team.
Also, thank you to Fr. Marty Solma, SM, Br. Joe Kamis, SM, Sr. Evangeline Escobar, FMI and Sr. Laura Leming, FMI, for their unwavering support of the MLC-NA.
Christmas Peace, Blessings, and Joy.
- Mike Wasno

Guide to Life in the Marianist Lay Community of North America now Available
Yesterday we published the Guide to Life in the Marianist Lay Community of North America. This document was a major goal of the 2014 Strategic plan. Many people worked on it to make sure it was aligned with the International Lay Marianist documents and other key documents. We would especially like to recognize Matt Dunn who led this effort over the past year.

MLC-NA Leadership Team UpdateWe are pleased to announce that LeeAnn Meyer has become the new Head of Temporalities. LeeAnn has been the MLC-NA Secretary for the past 2 years and is excited for this opportunity to get more involved in the Marianist Family.
She is replacing Lynette Bernot who resigned to take care of a relative who is seriously ill.
We thank Lynette for her willingness to serve and be a part of the election. We wish her the best and offer our prayers for her and her family.

Census Update - On-Line Form Available!
We have been working on a Lay Marianist Census for the last few months. Thank you to everyone who was able to volunteer, who answered phone calls, and who helped the process along!
In an effort to speed up the process and get your help, we have developed an online registry. Please take a few moments to fill out this brief questionnaire (it's a Google form) so we can ensure your updated contact information and involvement as a member and/or supporter of the Marianist Lay Community of North America.
Each member of a family should register so we have individual emails for future elections, etc.

Prayer Intentions
Let us pray...
That during Advent we may ponder the grace of Christmas and our Mission to join Mary and bring Christ to the World.
In gratitude for all Marianist Religious, that these bicentennial celebrations be filled with joy and a spirit of renewal.
For the Assembly Team as they continue to make preparations for the 2017 MLC-NA Assembly.
For an increase in Marianist Vocations and for all those in formation.
For the homeless that they may find shelter and support as the weather turns colder.
For the sick, especially Lay Marianists Carol Strasser, Kathy Wagner, Cheryl Reade, and Velma Perkin, that they may know God's healing and comforting presence in their lives.
For Kurt S Brenner, that his knee replacement surgery on 12/19/16 and his recovery goes well.

Prayer for Our Lady of Guadalupe (Dec 12) Remember, O most gracious Virgin of Guadalupe, that in your apparitions on Mount Tepeyac you promised to show pity and compassion to all who, loving and trusting you, seek your help and protection.
Accordingly, listen now to our supplications and grant us consolation and relief. We are full of hope that, relying on your help, nothing can trouble or affect us. As you have remained with us through your admirable image, so now obtain for us the graces we need. Amen.

Your Annual Contribution Makes A Difference
We recently mailed our Annual Contribution Appeal to all of the people in our database for whom we have postal addresses. An electronic version will be going out next week. We ask each Lay Marianist to contribute the equivalent of 2 hours wages. (One for MLC-NA and one for the International Organization.)
We receive contributions from all branches of the Marianist Family and people who are touched by the Marianist Charism. Our success depends on having the resources available to provide current and new programs that benefit our members.
If you'd like to make a one-time or recurring on-line contribution, click here. You may also send a check to the address below (in the footer). Our annual report will be sent out in early February once we have closed our 2016 books.
If you can offer your time and talent to help, please click here.
Thank you for your generous support. Together we will grow the Marianist Movement.
