Pre-Engineering Fondren From 59 to Braeswood
Many of you have seen much-needed concrete panel replacement projects occurring along Fondren, just south of 59. While this general maintenance is long overdue, the Public Works Department has announced that it will begin pre-engineering for the portion of Fondren situated between 59 to S Braeswood. Public Works is pursuing this course of action following requests from the District J office.
"Pre-engineering" is the first crucial step to move the project into the City's Capital Improvement Plan. All candidate projects are scored based on need and cost-benefits, with higher scoring projects being added to the CIP. This study will be completed in time for any resulting Candidate Projects to be considered during the FY2017 - 2021 CIP.
