The Chapel of the Madeleine is the spiritual cradle of the Marianist Family and served as the gathering place for the first lay Sodality in Bordeaux. In this spirit, La Madeleine continues to serve as a place for the international MLCs to share the news and events of their region.

Greetings!
Welcome to the first edition of La Madeleine, a newsletter from the International Organization of Marianist Lay Communities. We have three goals for La Madeleine.
- Many of our communities publish regional, national and local newsletters each month. La Madeleine will help distribute these newsletters to our world-wide Marianist family.
- La Madeleine will announce national MLC meetings and assemblies, events, and news. Sharing information allows us to unite in prayer and support.
- La Madeleine will be the communication tool for the International Team of Marianist Lay Communities.
La Madeleine will be emailed on the 15th day of each month. Articles will be published in their original language. We invite you to use translation tools as needed - for example, GOOGLE.

I am happy to introduce the editor of La Madeleine, Rob Brodrick. Rob is a co-founder of the Nassau / St. Paul Marianist Lay Community in Dayton, Ohio. He serves on the board of the Mission of Mary Farm and is a member of the leadership team for the Adele Social Justice Project. Currently, he lives in Boston, Massachusetts where he studies for a Ph.D. in theology. Thank you, Rob, for sharing your talents and energy with us! Please forward all newsletters and announcements to Rob at la.madeleine@clm-mlc.org. This month, we celebrate the lives of our dear Marianist founders. We begin this project knowing that Mary is at our side, and the prayers of Blessed Chaminade, Mother Adle, Marie-Thrse and all our Marianist saints will guide our humble efforts. Affectionately, Isabella R. Moyer MLC PRESIDENT International Team Marianist Lay Communities
