This past month was Pastor Appreciation Month, and I hope you have felt affirmed, valued and appreciated by your congregation.  Your job is far more complex and difficult than most people realize, thus the title for this article.  People used to joke that being a pastor just involved a one-hour workweek where you gave a nice 30-minute talk.  We know a one-hour workweek is ridiculous, but I think some probably still believe being a pastor is pretty easy.
