Arts' Day
May 8, 2015

Arts' Day is a very special day when students get to visit with artists form the community and participate in special activities. We are in need of a lot of helping hands.

Please fill out the form (click here) and return it to the office by Wednesday, April 29, 2015.

8th Grade Parents

We are currently collecting a $20.00 per student fee to help cover the expenses relating to the various 8th Grade Graduation activities. A note was sent in March requesting the fee. We are asking that the fee be paid no later than Friday, May 15, 2015. You can send cash or check (payable to OLP) to Bea Blenner (c/o Rachel - 8B). Please place your fee in an envelope with your child's name on it. If you have already sent your fee, thank you!

Our final meeting before Graduation set-up will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. in the OLP School Cafeteria.

We need everyone's help to make make graduation events memorable for our children. If anyone has any questions, please call Bea Blenner, 8th Grade Graduation Chair, at (814) 440-9116 (cell) or email her at penguinshockey555@yahoo.com.

Attention 8th Grade Parents

You can still send in photos for the DVD. The DVD will be shown at the graduation dance, and each student will receive a copy that evening. If you have photos, please send them to school via Sara Breckur 8B or email them to me at maryb1162@yahoo.com. If you are not interested in participating, please let me know through above venues. The final date photos will be accepted is April 30th.

Graduation Night Bowling

In recent years, the 8^th Grade Graduating Class has gathered together for a night of bowling following their Graduation Dance. The activity is an optional event for the students to attend if they are interested.Students who attend Graduation Night Bowling must have transportation to/from the bowling lanes, sign in upon arrival and sign out when picked up. There will be parent chaperones.

The cost is $10.00 per student and that includes bowling and shoes. A flyer with the above information and an envelope will be sent home.

If your child wishes to attend, please send the $10 fee to school by May 20^th in an envelope marked with your child's name to the attention- Sara Huber 8A.Once the money is turned in, the student will receive a pass needed for their admission for the bowling.

OLP 7th & 8th Grade Youth Group

We would like to thank everyone in their generous participation for the 7th & 8th grade Yourh Group bake sale at the church. The donation based fundraiser profited a generous amount of $1,335.00. A continued example of a giving parish/school community. This will defray the cost for the youth group in going to Cedar Point. Thank you and God Bless

End of the year bowling information:

Attention all bowlers! The end of the bowling season is rapidly approaching. Due to a snow day, we missed a night of bowling. Therefore, our last night of regular bowling will now be April 27, 2015. Our party will be held at the lanes right after school on Monday, May 4, 2015. We will have a pizza party and bowl one game. Thanks for your participation!

K of C Pancake Breakfast

The Knights of Columbus Council of Our Lady of Peace will hold their final monthly "Pancake Breakfast" in May on Sunday, May 3, 2015, in the OLP Cafeteria from 8:00 - 11:00 AM. Breakfasts will resume on September 6, 2015.

Menu includes: Pancakes, French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, Hash Browns, Sausage, Juice, Coffee or Tea.

Art Show

Congratulations to Sara Kloecker-Huber! Her art work took a first place ribbon at the Villa Maria Academy Art Show last weekend. We would also like to congratulate Mrs. Hirsch and all of the OLP students who had art work that was chosen to be a part of the VMA Art Show.

Congratulations also goes out to Gina DeMarco who won second place for her age group at the TREC 4th Annual Mixed Media Student Art Competition. OLProud!
