NYSED Issues Request for Proposals for Data Collection and Analysis
NYSED.gov
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) has issued a Request for Proposals for a contract to collect and analyze data for NYSED to meet its federal reporting requirements for State Performance Plan Indicator 14. Indicator 14 requires all school districts to report the percent of youth with disabilities, who had individualized education programs, are no longer attending secondary school and who have been competitively employed, or enrolled in some type of post secondary school, or both, within one year of leaving high school.

Responses are due July 31, 2013 and must be received at NYSED in Albany before 3:00 pm that day.

The Annie E. Casey Foundation (AECF) 2013 Data Book and Newly Redesigned Data Center
Annie E Casey logo
The Annie E. Casey Foundation's 2013 KIDS COUNT Data Book is now available. Using its comprehensive index to measure child well-being at the national and state level, the data book shows that children have continued to see gains in education and health.  Also, as the nation's economy recovers, America's children are seeing modest improvements in economic well-being. The KIDS COUNT index covers four categories - Economic Well-Being, Education, Health and Family and Community - each with four indicators. The Data Book presents the latest trends, starting pre-recession and ending with the most recent year of available data.

Be sure to visit the newly redesigned KIDS COUNT Data Center, which also contains the most recent national, state and local data on hundreds of measures of child well-being.
