Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! As we continue with the Series we started in our last E-Newsletter edition, where we've been sharing on How to Conquer your Goliath and Not let him Intimidate you again. In the last edition, we noted that we need to be PREPARED before we could ever go out there to face any Goliath out there that is trying to Confront or Intimidate us. And as part of our Preparation, we noted that FEAR is the first thing we need to Conquer in our lives. I believe you must have allowed the Word of God & the Spirit of God to deal with every spirit of Fear that the enemy had been using to Intimidate you. In this edition, we'll be looking at the second thing we Need to Conquer & Overcome as part of our Preparation to be able to Conquer & Overcome Goliath. In this discovery, we've been gleaning from David's experience - what he did to be able to both confront and defeat Goliath. So from studying David, the other thing that I see he had to Conquer before he could ever attempt to Conquer Goliath, was DISCOURAGEMENT!

After he had just Conquered Fear, the devil attacked him with Discouragement, using his own eldest brother and the people around him. The attempt to Discourage him was confrontational & fierce. When his eldest brother saw him speaking with the men; he was annoyed and asked; "Why have you come down here? And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the desert? I know how conceited you are and how wicked your heart is; you came down only to watch the battle". "Now what have I done?" said David. "Can't I even speak?" He then turned away to someone else and brought up the same matter...".

On your way to fight and Conquer Goliath, you will be met with Discouragement from different unexpected quarters, even through circumstances, but you must stand and Conquer Discouragement. (1 Sam: 17:28-30). Never let anything Discourage you! The moment you're Discouraged, you will never be able to face Goliath. Learn to always Encourage yourself in the face of Discouragement. Also, when you Conquer Discouragement, always turn away from people who are agents of Discouragements. David had to turn away from his eldest brother to someone else. There are people who could also be agents of Encouragement; always turn to such ones and draw courage from them. After you've Conquered & Overcome Discouragement, then you'll be on your way to Conquering & Overcoming Goliath!
