See You at the Pole "We Cry Out" was a huge success!
On Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, more than 25,000 local students participated in this year's See You at the Pole (SYATP). Millions of students were involved globally. Before school, students joined together at their school's flagpole in prayer for their friends, school, city, state, nation and the world. Many lives were touched, changed and challenged by one of the nation's largest prayer movements. This year's SYATP theme was "We cry out" and the scripture verses were Psalm 24:3-6 - "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? And, who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face-even Jacob." This year's theme message encouraged us to cry out to God in prayer. With the current state of our country, we believe this year's theme was perfect. We encouraged students, school faculty, families, businessmen and women, everyone, to cry out in prayer for our nation.
Thousands of students also participated in SYATP rallies held across the state on the evening of September 28. There were countless decisions made for Christ on this momentous day. During this important prayer event, students were encouraged to cry out in consistent prayer for their community, state, nation and the world.
We would like to thank our local media for helping to create awareness for this monumental day. Click here for media articles, pictures and videos from SYATP. Check out pictures from SYATP here. Be sure to tag yourself in pictures.
The following is just a few of the testimonies from that amazing day:
"See You at the Pole is such a special day for students to join together, unashamed, in prayer for our friends. I look forward to this day every year. I wish there were more days set aside for prayer. It's also really cool that on this day, people all over the world are gathering for prayer." - Ashley, Student
"Today was See You at the Pole. We had a great morning of prayer for students in our community. I would like to encourage people to pray for them as they shine the light of Jesus on their school campuses." - Michael, Local Youth Pastor
"At Bumpus Middle School See You at the Pole we had between 150-200 kids in attendance. About 20 students read scripture and 10 or so prayed! It was an amazing time to cry out to the Lord in prayer! God is alive and well moving and calling His people." - Shawndee, Parent
"We had around 130 students and teachers from Minor High School come out to See You at the Pole this morning! Thank you First Priority and schools for helping make this happen. Thank you God!" - Debbie, First Priority Campus Coach
