Registration for our 12th Annual Leader's Summit is now open!
We wanted to inform you that registration for our 12th Annual Leader's Summit is now open!Click here to register your group. This year's Summit will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at Southeastern Bible College. We are taking a different approach this year. It will still be a one-day conference, only it will be at the beginning of the school year and will train students on the HOPE Strategy and prepare them to lead their First Priority club. This year our focus will be "The how to's of effective campus ministry." The theme is "Seen" based from 1 Corinthians 2:9.
The cost for this year's Leader's Summit is $5 per person at the door for all those who pre-register. The registration deadline is Monday, September 12, 2016. We will send out a schedule for the day and more details closer to the Summit date. Please click here to pre-register your students for the Summit. Please complete the online form and list the names of everyone that will be attending in your group.
Most boards of education across the Birmingham-Metropolitan area agree to allow a First Priority faculty sponsor and up to 10 students from every school with an active campus club to attend the event as an excused absence. We have already received approval from many superintendents across our area. Please call us at 205.871.8886 to find out if your superintendent has approved for your school to attend. School systems that we do not receive an approval letter from typically tell us they leave the decision up to the individual school principals. If your school system has not yet sent us approval, please check with your school principal so that you can go ahead and get the process started. If you need us to follow-up and make additional contact with your school board directly, please reach out to us with details.
Speak with the community volunteers, parents or business leaders who work with your club to help with transportation. Since this event takes place during school hours, we encourage you to apply with your school's administration for permission to attend. We have enough space for 10 students from each school to attend. If you have more than 10 students, please contact our office to check space availability.
We will have new campus club resources available for purchase at Leader's Summit including T-shirts, posters and student invitation cards. We will provide you with more info about the resources before Leader's Summit so you and your students can plan accordingly if you want to purchase any of the items.
