Will you partner with us and sponsor a school?

We would like to thank you for your incredible commitment and dedication to changing the lives of young students all across the Birmingham-Metropolitan area. Your support allows us to equip students with the tools they need to be effective witnesses in their communities and on their campus throughout the school year. We greatly appreciate your continuous generosity.

As you may have read last month, during the 2014-2015 school year, out of the schools that reported, nearly 13,000 students attended First Priority and FPKids every week when school was in session; and we are excited to announce that over 520 students made a decision for Christ on their school campus. There were countless more salvation decisions at First Priority sponsored events throughout this school year as well. These students were followed-up with to be discipled and become involved with a local church. Wow, God is good! CLICK HERE for a full recap from the 2014-2015 school year that includes updates on our schools, events and networks.

None of this would be possible without your help. It takes $3,000 to fund each school per year that we serve. I would like to encourage you to help support one or several of the 200 schools we serve across the Greater-Birmingham Area for the 2015-2016 school year. If you aren't able to support a school for the entire year, please consider sponsoring one school for one month for $250. Would you consider giving a special summer gift to help this ministry continue the level of services we have been able to provide to these schools for the past 25 years?

We continue to work to raise up a generation of students who will choose to make Jesus Christ their First Priority, and who will not be ashamed to share Him with their peers. For years, church leaders have heard the claim that nearly nine out of 10 Christians accept Jesus as their savior before the age of 18. If that statistic was accurate in the past, it no longer depicts U.S. society. Now Barna says that, "If Jesus is not already part of their lives by the time they leave junior high school, the chance of them accepting Him as their Lord and Savior is very slim (6% to be exact)." That is why we unite the body of Christ with a plan of action to influence the school with the Gospel.

Please prayerfully consider continuing your important partnership with the ministry of First Priority through a special summer gift. Your gift will be used immediately to provide students, teachers and youth leaders with the tools they need to carryout First Priority's mission of sharing the love and message of Jesus Christ with every student in their school. Thank you for your continuous support. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Join us for Encounter Birmingham

We would like to invite you to Encounter Birmingham, a ministry sponsored by First Priority and led by First Priority Area Director Debi DeBoer. Encounter will launch a monthly worship service for college students and young adults THIS Thursday, June 25, at 8:30 p.m. on the campus of Southeastern Bible College, and you're invited!

Encounter is a non-denominational group of college students and young adults from churches all over the city of Birmingham coming together to worship. Encounter's mission is to LOVE people, worship Christ and grow spiritually. Encounter is all about bringing the individual college groups from local churches together as the body of Christ in order to reach this generation with the Hope of the Gospel. Statistically, 1 out of 4 remains in the church after high school. This will not be the time when students walk away from the church, but instead are challenged to passionately love Christ with all their heart and to experience Him in worship.

We hope you'll join us each month beginning THIS Thursday, June 25, at 8:30 p.m.
