Riverchase Middle School students lead their First Priority club by sharing testimonies

"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."  Matthew 5:14-16

Students at Riverchase Middle School shared their testimonies with classmates throughout the school year at First Priority. Every week students from across the Greater-Birmingham area pour out their redemptive stories for their classmates to hear. It takes courage to stand up in front of your peers and share what God has done in your own life. The student leaders from Riverchase Middle displayed that very courage when they rose to share with their friends the light of Christ in their lives. It's quite remarkable to see the work of Christ being displayed through the lives of these student leaders. After sharing their testimonies, the First Priority Leaders of Riverchase Middle couldn't refrain from smiling. Students all across the Greater-Birmingham area are letting the light of Christ shine in their lives for all to see.

First Priority's objective is to equip students to be leaders on their school campus. Our goal is not to lead the clubs and share our testimonies but to train the next generation to share the Hope of Christ with every student. It's incredible to see students acting in obedience to God's command and bringing glory to His name. First Priority creates a safe environment for the body of Christ to unite on the school campus and spread the Gospel on the biggest mission field in the country. These First Priority leaders live life with students every day who have never experienced the love of Christ. Thankfully, First Priority provides an environment for which that love can be displayed for all to see. Like the city that cannot be hidden in Matthew 5:14, neither can the light of Christ being shown through these student leaders.
