On September 25, 2013, more than 30,000 local students participated in this year's See You at the Pole (SYATP). Millions of students were involved globally. Before school, students joined together at their school's flagpole in prayer for their friends, school, city, state, nation and the world. Many lives were touched, changed and challenged by one of the nation's largest prayer movements. This year's SYATP theme was "#IFTHEN," based from the scripture verse 2 Chronicles 7:14 ~ "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." May we seek God, turn from our sins and pray for healing across this world.

Thousands of students also participated in SYATP rallies held across the state on the evening of September 25. There were many decisions made for Christ on this momentous day. During this important prayer event, students were challenged to pray, seek and turn to God.

The Gift of Imagination in Ministry

First Priority held a City-Wide Campus Ministry Network Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Hunter Street Baptist Church Student Building. Over 100 youth leaders across the Greater-Birmingham area attended for a time of equipping, encouragement and fellowship. Everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Chick-fil-A.

Our special guest speaker, Thought-provoking Visionary and Speaker Brent Crowe, brought an inspirational message about the gift of imagination in ministry. Click here to read more about Brent's powerful message. We would like to thank Brent for his words of encouragement and the challenge to use our imagination and make Jesus the center of our story.

We would also like to give a special thanks to our vendors who helped make this event a huge success: Servant Life, The Disciple Project and Adventure Travel. We would like to thank all those again who attended and joined us for a great time of growth and fellowship.
