We would like to invite you to our next City-Wide Youth Pastor Network Meeting on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at the Hoover Met in the Banquet Room from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Our special guest speaker is Evangelist and Author Dave Edwards. Dave travels the country full-time, speaking to young adults in churches and a variety of other places. A gifted communicator, Dave speaks from his heart about issues relevant to this generation. Dave has authored 14 books and has written a tract called "How to Make Life All Good." Regardless of the setting, Dave's message is simple: Helping students and young adults discover the importance of a Christ-centered lifestyle. He masterfully applies Biblical truths to current issues of the day in an honest, humorous and understandable form. Dave's mission is to reintroduce the truth of God's Word by meeting people where they are in life and bringing them one step closer to knowing and becoming like Jesus Christ. Head Coach in the NFL Chan Gailey brings inspirational message at First Priority's 19th Annual SCORE Banquet
First Priority held its 19th Annual SCORE (Students Count On Real Examples) Banquet on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at The Harbert Center. We would like to thank all those who attended and helped support this special event financially. The ministry of First Priority has been able to touch the lives of hundreds of thousands of students over the past 22 years because of faithful people like you.
Nearly 120 guests and volunteers joined us for a great night of encouragement and fellowship. The evening included music, provided by First Priority students, followed by dinner, an award and scholarship presentation, ministry update and message from our special guest speaker Chan Gailey. We took a few moments to recognize one of our former board members who has been strongly involved with First Priority for 13 years. She was presented First Priority's Volunteer Excellence Service Award. We also recognized two students who each received a scholarship provided by a local network of churches. Following the award presentation we heard from a First Priority leader who helped start First Priority in Kenya. It is a blessing to see how God is using the ministry of First Priority on the other side of the world. We then heard from our special guest speaker Chan Gailey, head coach in the NFL. Chan shared about his faith growing up and how God has used him throughout his coaching career. Chan has supported First Priority since it started 22 years ago.
