Meeting Schedule Changes
|2013 will bring changes to our volunteer meeting schedule
As our volunteer program grows to involve specialized training we will be changing from a monthly meeting format to a new quarterly meeting and training. Team Captains at each of the team sites will be encouraged to host meetings in non-quarterly meeting months with their local groups. Additionally, we will host specialized training classes throughout the year, so pay attention to our announcements and City calendar.
This year we will meet as one large group, once a quarter with the following schedule:
8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at North Net Training Center
Saturday, January 12, 2013
Saturday, April 13, 2013
Saturday, July 13, 2013
Saturday, October 12, 2013
New Office Location
East Anaheim PD Station
The Emergency Management Division has merged with the Fire & Rescue Department Homeland Security staff and become the new Emergency Management and Preparedness Division.
Our new office location is now at the East Anaheim Community Center and Police Department Sub Station. Because of this change, we can host volunteer activities or meet on Fridays only. Making an appointment for visiting the EOC is appreciated as we cannot guarantee staffing every Friday.

Fire Station Meetings
Team Captains to Coordinate Meetings
One of our goals for 2013 is to get each of you meeting and working with our Fire Department staff more frequently. Because we have changed our monthly meeting schedule, we are adding this feature back in as a meeting and training with your assigned team fire station.
Team Captains will be coordinating these meetings in the future. Use this link to identify your closest team site and confirm with us at email@example.com
New Year, New Look
New Uniforms and ID Badges
We are replacing our current uniforms and going with a standardized look for both CERT and RACES. Uniforms will consist of a red polo shirt, grey long sleeve shirt, name plate, and ID badge. All the uniforms will have the current Anaheim Fire logo and will be clearly marked "volunteer." Volunteers will need to purchase their own black pants which may be tactical pants or slacks and preferably black shoes or boots. As such, we need to know the shirt size you require to place our order. Please complete the order form here:
The new ID badge indicates if you are a member of either CERT, RACES or both and has space for training stickers on the reverse such as Fire Watch or CMAP specialties.
In order to make photos easier to visually identify expiration, we will be taking new photos at our January 12 meeting with a special color background. New badges will be valid until 12/31/2014. If you are unable to get your badge photo taken at the January meeting, you will need to make an appointment on a Friday for your new badge.
We are very excited to have this new transition finally taking hold.
