Our True Nature
Our True Nature, is a layperson's guide to the National Parks, by a woman of color, who has been to all the places described, and makes it particularly unique through her eyes and footsteps.  It includes places such as Paul Revere's house; the Liberty Bell; John Brown's Fort; the Ocmulgee mounds in Georgia, and the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor. It describes where the parks are, how to get there, where to stay, what to do, and even the best time of year to visit.

Greetings!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  Hope you are enjoying this special time of year with family and friends.

This is the time of year that I reflect on all the wonderful people in my life and the many blessings for which I am most thankful.  With that said, I want to take this time to express from the depth of my heart, directly to yours, and all who have supported my endeavors over the past year, my most sincere and heartfelt gratitude.  It is because of you that I continue to move forward in what I know is my purpose...leading by example and helping others accomplish optimal health and wellness.

My hikes and other fun and adventurous activities continue to expand beyond my wildest dreams. I am grateful for the love and support I receive everyday.  So many have become my loyal customers, and friends who support me in my health and wellness supplements, products, consulting services and speaking business.  I am humbled and encouraged by the levels of  support from those who join me to Live Life to the Fullest!!!

As I look back over 2012, it has truly been a banner year for me. In 2013 I shall expand my routine to live more green, and strengthen my faith and belief in the unseen.

Love, Peace and Joy...

Hiking Tips and Insights
Male Hiker
Hiking Boots: Low-cut models with flexible mid-soles are excellent for day hiking. Mid- or high-cut boots are also intended for day hikes. They flex pretty easily and often require modest break-in time. Each individual's hiking style determines what footwear works best. If you routinely carry light loads, as we do on our day hikes, you can typically consider lighter footwear.

Health Tidbits
Sweetwater Creek Hike Group
You know hiking is good for your health. But do you know just how good it is?  Take note of some of the good you are doing for your body.
        • Improved cardio-respiratory fitness (heart, lungs, blood vessels)
        •  Improved muscular fitness
        • Weight control; hiking burns up 370 calories an hour (154-lb person)

Inspiration and Motivation
CH at Rock City
The only difference between having a wonderful day in the wilderness, or anywhere else, that you'll always cherish, boils down to the attitude you hold inside of yourself.
"The sum of the whole is this: walk and be happy; walk and be healthy. The best way to lengthen out our days is to walk steadily and with a purpose."
Quote by Charles Dickens
