| 45,000 HUD Flags | |
Recently, HUD launched an initiative to reduce the number of Flags on its properties. Currently, there are 45,000 active Flags on HUD insured or HUD subsidized properties around the country.
Are any of these Flags on your property?
A HUD system Coordinator with access to your property can view the Flag Report in APPS. Now is the time to check your Flag Report and contact your HUD PM or AE and see about resolving any active Flags.

HUD Flag Tip of the Month - Absolved vs Resolved

Did you know? HUD can elect to resolve your Flag, absolve your Flag or keep your Flag unchanged.
When a Flag is resolved, HUD moves the Flag from "active" status to "inactive". Only Active Flags will appear on a Coordinator's Flag Report and only active Flags will come up as a Critical Finding during a HUD 2530 review.
When a Flag is absolved, HUD has reviewed the Flag and determined that it should not prohibit 2530 approval for a given transaction. This Flag will still appear as an Active Flag, but HUD will have placed a Participant Mark in their system to identify it as having been reviewed.
