| Spring Reminder: Check for HUD Flags |

Spring brings an influx of HUD Flags on unsuspecting participants for Failure to File Financial Statements. If the actual FASS filing did not occur by April 10th, there is likely a HUD Flag on the record.
Checking for Flags is easy. Follow these simple steps:
- Coordinator for the property logs into the HUD Secure System (WASS), goes to Participant Assignment Maintenance and assigns himself the APPS Update role to the property owner organization.
- Coordinator then enters the APPS subsystem, goes to the Reports drop-down menu and selects Flag Report.
Resolving these Flags is easy. Follow these simple steps:
- Obtain proof of FASS Filing from your Auditor.
- Contact your HUD Project Manager and request that they resolve the Flag for Failure to File Financial Statements.

You asked and HUD listened! With the May release, PPSD will be rolling out several important changes designed to respond to industry frustrations with some of the APPS functionality:
- Baselines will not require an individual principal
- Baselines may be cancelled under certain circumstances
- Previous Participation will pull date information from the Originated Name baselines
- Revocable Trusts that carry the same SSN as their sole Trustee will be allowed
