 Dear

There are so many benefits of practicing yoga that we have to wonder why more people don't. When people tell us they aren't flexible enough for yoga, we're tempted to ask them if they would expect a child to run before she can walk.

Of course not!

A regular yoga practice doesn't just improve our flexibility. It also improves the functionality of our circulatory, respiratory and muscular systems. It can also help our emotional and even our gut's health.

We're excited to offer a series of workshops this summer and the first one will be Yoga and Digestive Health.

New Classes starting late May and June
Katie Harris Belakhoua will be regularly teaching her belly dancing class in our studio. Details to come but it will be a set Saturday of each month for the next few months. The time will remain the same - 6:30 p.m., cost is $15.

Pregnant? You don't have to give up yoga for the next 9 months. Shannon O'Boyle will be starting a Prenatal Yoga class on June 7, 10-11:30 a.m., $120. This 6-week class will include meditation, relaxation, and gentle stretching with modifications and considerations for pregnant persons of all levels. The class concludes with 15 minutes for discussion of pregnancy issues. Shannon is a birth professional who has been in the business for more than 10 years.

Body Movement Fusion is a mix of cardio and body weight exercises followed by yoga and mobility work. Class is 7 a.m., T & TH, June 7-23, $50. Call Danette @ 467-8827 to register. Space will be limited.

Lety Murphy will be placing free herbal samples at the studio each month. Stop in and pick one up to try!

      workshop
Vicky Adams--Nemec has been practicing yoga for about 60 years. When she was 9 years old, she had a diving accident that injured her neck. Vicky taught herself yoga by watching a program on tv and has been practicing ever since.

Vicky spends summers at New Piasa Chautauqua in Elsah, where she also teaches yoga and Sunday School. She stopped in at Be Well Now to stock up on supplies - Tates sunscreen, candles, yoga mat wash, tea and incense. Vicky is so cheerful and positive! We're looking forward to seeing her again in the fall.

Vicky has a condition that causes her 2nd and 3rd  toes to separate. She's found that Yoga Sandals helps her toes be more aligned. She's on her third pair and finds them so comfortable she wears them all the time. Check them out in our retail shop!
