Greetings!
More and more research is confirming what many of us have known for years - there is a definite mind-body connection.
When we're feeling anxious, our breathing becomes shallow. When we're nervous, our gut will let us know. If the chemicals in our brains are too out of balance, some of us may become depressed or manic.
So much of what we offer - yoga, tai chi, meditation, and massage therapy - is great for enhancing the mind's positive impact on the body. When we consistently practice these we feel more calm and positive and strengthen our immune systems, among other benefits.
Many people don't realize that chiropractic care is also key to our health. A healthy spine means so much more than no back pain. Herbalist Lety can tell you all about the benefits of using herbs for healing and aromatherapy. Conchita Russo recently introduced us to Bars® and Trifold Sequencing. They assist in disease prevention and help break the link of physical pain manifesting from emotional trauma.
These classes and therapies are not indulgences. They should be seen as "preventive medicine." Practiced regularly (and that's the key), we can begin to heal from health problems and mitigate the damage done to ourselves from negative habits we've developed over the years.
We invite you to sign up for a class or make an appointment with one of our therapists or holistic wellness providers so you can strengthen your mind-body connection. We want you to be well - now and for many years to come.

Do You Want to Feel Better and Be Healthier?
Chiropractic care can help with more than a wrenched back. It can help everything from headaches to musculoskeletal problems to digestive problems - even depression.
Our nervous system controls and coordinates every function in our body. Most of it is enclosed within our spinal column, stretching from the base of our brain to our sacrum. More nerves branch out from our spinal chord, reaching out between vertebrae toward every part of our body at various levels of our spine.
When our spine isn't flexible or has a subluxation (irritation) of the vertebrae, it interferes with our nervous system and manifests as health problems. Subluxations in the thoracic spine affect our digestive system. Growing research points to a link between digestive health and depression.
Serotonin is well known as a brain neurotransmitter but can be linked to and influenced by the gut. In fact, altered levels of this peripheral serotonin have been linked to diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome and cardiovascular disease. Serotonin also helps prevent depression and affects our sleep and appetite.
If you're suffering from depression or gastro-intestinal issues such as IBS or colitis, consider making an appointment to see Dr. Jenna Dallman, DC. She's offering a FREE consultation and exam for new patients in March.
Depending on the patient, the solution can be one or a combination of the following practices:
- provide information of supplementation
- suggest a route of adjustments to correct the subluxation
- perform acupuncture (for specific problems or organs
- perform cupping, which can take out toxins.
Call Dr. Dallman at 608-289-1217 to schedule your consultation. |
