workshop3 Lety Murphy, Holistic Wellness Provider

Lety Murphy's journey into holistic wellness began in 2007 when she took a college course called Medicalization of Society. It was an eye-opening experience and one that changed her thinking about women's health, the mind-body connection and informed consent in healthcare.

Since then, Lety has studied holistic living, healing, nutrition, herbal medicine and aromatherapy. Along the way, she's become a Labor Doula & Childbirth Educator, Lactation Specialist, Herbalist and Aromatherapist.

She offers services to assist women throughout their pregnancy journey. Her handcrafted teas, tinctures and essential oils are used in her treatments and can be found for sale in our studio.

Lety has degrees from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and is accredited through Heart of Herbs, Health Care Sciences and Body-Mind Institute. She recently decided to enroll in Lewis & Clark's Nursing program and will begin in 2017 to finish her nursing degree.

Her ultimate mission is to help people, primarily women of childbearing age through menopause, achieve optimum health through education, consultation and product and supplement creation.

massage Paraffin Wax Treatments Provide Healing Relief

Doctors have known for a long time that paraffin wax treatments provide relief from inflammation, fibromyalgia, bursitis, tendonitis and sore muscles.

These treatments were first used in the 1950s when doctors used them to help patients with arthritis pain. It wasn't until 30 years later that paraffin wax hand dips became a beauty treatment.

But its benefits are more than skin-deep.

Paraffin wax is melted and warmed to 116-147 degrees. Hands are dipped in and out of the warm wax.

As the wax solidifies, heat is transferred into the affected joints, increasing circulation and relieving pain and stiffness.

Give it a try when you stop by our Holiday Open House, 11am - 6pm, Thursday, Dec. 3.
