Lemonade Sweeteners

I am grateful for those of you who responded to last week's account of my recent hiking mishap.  Looking askance at my once-dominant hand in a lime-green cast, I asked how you deal with disappointing events and their implications.

When I embarked on the project of making lemonade out of these lemons, your responses sweetened the brew.  Here they are; I treasure them all.

  • It is what it is.
  • Everything happens for a reason.
  • So many people are dealing with tougher issues (that put mine into perspective).
  • Buck up and get over it.
  • Find humor in the situation.
  • Seek out positive friends.
  • AFGO (another L  growth opportunity)
  • Life happens when you have other plans.
  • Breathe. Feel the fear, anger, and helplessness without trying to explain or escape.  Recognize that these feelings will pass without my intervention.  The more I fret and stew, the more they will hurt and the longer they will last.
One of you even quoted Reflections and formatted the quote as a lovely image! How very cool!

Which of these resonate for you? Anyother insights or tips to add?
