In my comings and goings, as the Lord arranges/assigns, I experience good to great teaching and presentations of God's heart - powerful, insightful and teeming with God's heart for us. Sadly, there are also the occasions of questionable and even heretical dogma. These are messages - may contain Scripture or a reference to them; relayed in a varying from soft to determined to the oftentimes religiously expected dramatics of hooping, hollering, sweating and sing-song tones -  that anyone with a Bible would know the points made were not what God had on His mind.
OR would they?

 

You may own a Bible, but you have to know what's inside to know the Truth it contains. This is the only way you will come to know the Father's voice, to decipher His direction and instruction from enemy falsification. Having the Word in your heart primes your spirit to recognize its own Nourishment, which is Truth, God Himself.

 

Merely possessing a Bible will not provide what is necessary to discern God's meaning and purpose...from man's rhetoric, laziness and foolery...from satan's lies and perversion. To know truth from error or deception we must be familiar with the One who had His intent put in written form for us. It is not just a matter of picking up the book and rifling through the pages. It is approaching it from the mindset of camaraderie and communion with the Godhead, learning what He established for us.

 

He sends of Himself, the Holy Spirit, to cause us to recall the truths, and covenant promises we have in God. However, there must be something for Him to call up. He will remind us of the Lord's position deposited in our hearts when we spend time in and with His Word. When contrary statements are made, when the enemy comes-a-calling, when life storms rage, the Holy Spirit reminds us of:

    ~ What God's covenant declares

    ~ The authority we have in Him by Christ Jesus

    ~ The promises He made to us of every sort of victory
