You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].
Psalm 27:8 (Amplified Bible)
Communing with the Lord includes all we have learned - Relationship with Him (by Salvation); Fellowshipping with Him (reading and meditating the Bible, prayer, fasting, listening, praise and worship); Intimacy with Him (through obedience, praise, worship and the " be still"). There is also COMMUNING with Him.
This is not new. Many written of in the Bible communed with God. It is specifically said of Enoch, that he walked with God. We are also given the example of Abraham; by communing with the Lord he was able to walk in faith - fully persuaded, pleasing God. David had discussions with God - should I stay or should I go, tears and celebration, repentance and adoration...to name a few.
It is more than conversation, the surface level talks of desires, sufferings and pleadings. Have the awareness of God being with you always, wherever and forever; all of who He is never leaving, forsaking or failing you. Experience His nearness with awareness questions such as, "Where would You like to eat today? What is on Our agenda today? That's a beautiful sky, awesome trees. Look at the colors of that bird's feathers." You see, communion includes appreciation for who He is and what He has done...created...caused to be; and respect for His position and direction.
Do not take on any shame by those who state that it does not take all that; that there are issues and matters needing to be addressed (worried about). Your promotion by/in God, because of His delight in your oneness with Him, will speak volumes; justifying your stance to "live God."
So hear the Lord's, our Father's, heart:
"Commune with Me. Come in close. Be one with Me. Come up where I am and see, know and understand from My perspective, My vantage point. Advance by Me, but also through and in Me...your sure Victory - each and every time; that is, My victory, My way. Oh, commune with Me. I have made it possible and available to you. Commune with Me."
Now give Him your reply - agreement, repentance, praise, worship, thanksgiving; any one or all. Praise Him who loves you so dearly.
Amen.
