:9 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
:10 So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good [morally] to all people [not only being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God's family with you, the believers]. Galatians 6:9-10 (Amplified Bible)
What do these verses say to you?
"Well doing" does, obviously, benefit the person on the receiving end of our doing; but it also benefits us. Of course, this is not to be our motive for doing well, however, the Lord lets us know that all we do - the good, not just the bad - does not go unnoticed. We are making a difference - His Kingdom difference - in our doing well, right and good. This is so reassuring and encouraging as we continue in the course He has charted for us.
Whether of the big vision, smaller glimpses, or what we encounter in our "as-we-go," the Lord admonishes us not to give in to the strategies of darkness implemented by situations, circumstances or their hosts; because, He has certain/definite reward for us. We must not allow ourselves to fall into enemy traps of hard feelings against those who scoff at or do not reciprocate our well doing.
Stay free of offense and refuse the "cunningness" of strife. Keep your discernment free and clear of static caused by replaying the offense and by thoughts of retaliation. Immediately forgive, and even go one better - ask the Lord to bless them so they may be set free and healed.
~ Ask the Lord to reveal any breaches in your heart caused by
enemy opposition to your well-doing.
~ Turn over all offenses and offenders to the Lord by saying just
that,"Lord, I turn all offenses and offenders over to You".
~ Forgive and release offenses/offenders - which releases them,
and also you from the sting, and resets your heart to wholeness.
~ Ask the Lord to assist you in maintaining Your heart by all this,
steadying You in Him as you continue the course.
~ Ask the Lord to open your heart, so you will not miss any
opportunity to extend the vastness of His love.
Prayer
Father God, release your healing anointing on the hearts of everyone receiving this message. I plead the blood of Jesus over them as Your seal and protection as they compassionately and boldly continue in well doing - extending who You are, and thereby glorifying You. Thank You, Lord, for Your reassurances and great care of us. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Now thank Him for His faithfulness to you, and for every opportunity to represent Him and His love. (And don't forget to thank Him for the sure reward.)
AmenGrace and Glory
