Walking with God Pt 2
And when He had removed him (Saul), He raised up for them David as king; to whom also He gave testimony and said, "I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will."
Acts 13:22 NKJV
Walking with God is being after His own heart. It is a lifestyle. It is the "with Him" that holds and provides our well-being; and it is the "in Him" that we are empowered to be who He says we are, do what He says we can do, and have what He says we can have. It is more extensive than taking His hand only in times of despair or leaping for joy only in the sanctuary. It is an always...at all times...wherever you are unity in the Father. It is consulting with Him in all matters, repenting as needed, conversing in fellowship and appreciating His company.
Walking with our Father contains warnings of the enemy's intentions, exposing his wiles. The devil is of evil, death and destruction of physical life, purpose and vision - if we allow. Comments like "Time is running out...one day only...can't hold it long...2 can live cheaper than 1...they don't understand you, but I do, I'll listen...no one will know...just this once" are of his tactics in placing snares, causing ambushments and laying out entanglements. However, whatever God has for us is for us. He is over time; and makes room for us to consult Him and realize truth, empowering us to following through.
Walking with God is adhering to His principles, which ensures recognizing and accepting the best and right opportunities. In God is life and love - not because it is what He gives or does, but these are who He is. God's love has more power than anything the devil has. His voice has the ability to pierce the noise, capture our attention, and lead us out on dry land.
Walking with God is not a life of being in defense mode, as though the devil has the upper hand. Our Lord desires us to walk with Him, in cadence with Him; to be Him - as He is, loving what He loves, and hating what He hates (the ways of evil and darkness), and accomplishing His will wherever He has us. The arsenal of the Lord is greatest. In Him are success and victory. We take territory in our walking with Him. His strategies are imparted to overtake and conquer, setting the captives free, healing the sick, opening blind eyes and deaf ears of the natural and the spirit.
Walk with God. He is the Lifter of your head. He is your Peace, Forgiveness, Encouragement, Provision, Health and Wholeness. He is your wise Counsel. He is your Quiet in the night, your Calm in the storm, and your Protection in the midst. He is your Companion in the trial, and your Support when weary. He is your Encouragement and Sure-footing. He is your Shalom. Walk with God.

Dear Jesus,
I believe You are the Son of God.

I believe You died for my sin; paying the debt for sin that I could not pay myself.
Please forgive me for all my sin.
I invite You into my heart and my life to be my Lord and Savior.
I am forgiven. I am now born-again. I am now a child of God.
Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
