And behold, I am with you and will keep (watch over you with care, take notice of) you wherever you may go, and I will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done all of which I have told you.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (Amplified Bible)
For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.
AMEN = so be it
When we voice an AMEN we are admitting that we believe and agree with what has been disclosed to us. Saying AMEN when we hear, read or experience God's heart, purpose and plan states our agreement with it...with Him. Our AMEN activates manifestation of His intent in our life and camp. We give permission for His determination to have its way, for we have subjected our will to Him by our AMEN.
It is more than a word to fill a space; than a shout of encouragement for a speaker; than a prideful expression of holiness amidst the congregation. It far exceeds the traditional close of prayer; but rather is to convey our faith in God and His faithfulness to us when we pray. If we choose to only speak the issue, dwelling on its complications and sufferings we are stating agreement with the matter and our misalignment with God. By this we remain in the situation. At best we can only expect "status quo" of no change.
