The devil issues hits against God's children all the time. However, we are not subject to take it. Religion has cunningly convinced the church to accept the devil's hits as badges of honor, and to draw back into an extended time of nursing wounds.
This tactic interrupts our divine momentum, and allows the enemy to regroup from our Kingdom hits against him - of praying and confessing the Word of God; declaring what God has said; going forth in faith; operating according to our assignment of sharing the Gospel, laying hands on the sick and they recover, setting the captives free, opening blind eyes and raising the dead.
Resist the devil; take no hit from him.
~ Do not settle into pity or seek attention as salve for the
wounds. Jesus is our balm - our healing ointment.
~ Apply and plead the blood of Jesus in prayer - declaring
the case resolved and closed by God.
~ Do not accept the devil's replay and deception of the
incident or entertain the shoulda, woulda, coulda's.
~ Focus on the goodness of God in the situation...how He
exposed, worked, settled, and delivered
~ Center your attention on His hand in the matter, which
causes our victory - releases His victory every time.
~ Take any necessary timeout with God to rebound and be
rejuvenated - entering into His rest, and worshiping,
praising and thanking Him.
~ Dust yourself off and maintain God's Kingdom momentum.
Take no hit from satan or his agents.
To settle into the cunningly misleading viewpoint of taking hits from the enemy, we may allow, even feed the underlying spirit of pride (martyr, haughty, pompous and self-righteous). This mindset is one of, "I sure endured; I made it through; I suffered through; I did it" - self-seeking glorification on the sly. There is no "woe is me" in Christ. Yes, we are victorious, but it is by God Almighty.
Give the glory to God. Testify of His goodness and faithfulness. Tell any elements of the incident only as a set up for His praise. Magnify God and His power. Glorify the Lord; He alone is worthy of our praise.
Amen.
