Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!
Psalm 139:23 Amplified Bible
This week's message is in the form of a testimony from guest contributor, Katrell Mendenhall-Hall. Our Father God utilizes everything to bring us to where He has purposed - checking and correcting our hearts and actions for us to be His extensions in the earth.
"I'm standing in line at a store and notice a lady in front of me on her phone trying to go online to look up her bank account.
I look away because I'm trying to remember if I have everything I need before I leave the store. I immediately realize I forgot bread and jelly. So I get out of line and walk all the way to the back of the store, and when I return (to the same register) the same lady with her 12-ish year old daughter is holding up the line and people are getting frustrated. It is reaching the point that the sales clerk wants to suspend the transaction so she can move her line down.
With all of this happening, I notice that no one is thinking about this woman and her embarrassed daughter. People are sucking their teeth, huffing and puffing, etc. I go to the front of the line and tell the sales clerk not to suspend the transaction, and that I'll pay for it. The sales clerk says that it's $142. I didn't think twice, and paid.
I then paid for all my stuff including my bread and jelly and left the store. The look on everyone's face was of shock. The main person who was impatient, huffing and puffing in line came up to my car and said, 'What you just did made my week. I want to apologize for being so rude in line.'
I don't say this to boast because anyone that knows me knows I give with no problem; but to encourage others to be kind, be patient! You never know what people are going through. And just maybe you can be a blessing to someone! Good Day!" - KHM
Now take a moment with God to ask Him to reveal any lessons within any of your own experiences.
~ Give Him permission, by sincere prayer of surrender, to
search your heart, and ask him to cleanse you of all
unrighteousness.
~ Repent wherever necessary.
~ Allow Him to lead you according to His will for you.
~ Obey His instruction.
In essence...let God be God; trust Him and His great love for you. After all, He is your Dad.
Amen.
