His Commandments Yield Pt 2
For the [true] love of God is this: that we do His commands [keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teaching]. And these orders of His are not irksome (burdensome, oppressive, or grievous).
1 John 5:3 (Amplified Bible) By Matthew 22:36-40, our loving Father reveals the basis of His ways to follow...love, so we can fulfill all other commandments. He clearly lets us know how we are to operate in two concise steps. The first and greatest commandment is to love Him with all our being, and second (which He says is like the first), love others as ourselves. By the first one, He will cause us to see ourselves as He sees us - redeemed, forgiven, His righteousness. As a result, we are enabled to fully do the second - go the extra mile, give totally as He prompts, lend a hand or ear, be patient and kind. By who He is, which is Love, He makes us who we are. We are extensions of God's love. He even loved us first, so we could know how. Consider yourself a "lovette" of and for God. (Yes, I just made up a word - go with me on this.) In our awareness of who we are in Him we can: ~ Love the unlovable (without being a doormat, or risking abuse for Love, Himself watches over and directs us) ~ Forgive (not retaliate or hold a grudge) ~ Know when to let go (without regret) The Holy Spirit assists us in operating and living in God's manner of being and doing. He is our God...our Lord...our Father. He is loving, compassionate and faithful. If He said it, that's it. If He revealed it, that's all. As He has established it, so it is. Expect it. Follow His commandments. Yes, follow Him with great expectancy in the One who loves you so dearly. He shall cause His yield to manifest in our lives and camps...Love promised. Amen. "This morning as I was getting ready for work, I got really excited because in our cafeteria it's 'Sushi Wednesday' which is actually pretty good. But today I had this taste for salmon only, and I specifically had a taste for smoked salmon. But, thinking that it's Sushi Wednesday, smoked salmon wouldn't be possible for me to get at the cafeteria today.
So this afternoon, I go to the cafeteria to get my sushi. As I was standing there waiting for them to make my rolls, the Head Chef comes over to me and whispers, 'I just smoked some salmon, and it's really good. Do you want to try some?' I said, 'Sure!' Now I'm thinking that he's going to come out with a small piece to sample, but because I wanted smoked salmon, I waited graciously thinking about the bite that I was expecting.
So he finally comes out of the kitchen with a beautiful 3-4 oz. piece of smoked salmon and says, 'This is on me!' Oh WOW! It was soooooo yummy and perfectly delicious!!! Don't tell me that God won't give you the desires of your heart!!!!"

Salvation or Restoration
If you would like to accept and confess Jesus Christ, making Him your personal Lord and Savior or if you have turned away from Him to go your own way and wish to return to Him, pray the following prayer aloud:
Dear Jesus,
I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died and rose from the dead on the third day. I believe You are alive and seated at the right hand of the Father. I believe you died for my sin; paying the debt for sin that I could not pay myself.
Please forgive me for all my sin.
Please come into my heart and my life, and be my Lord and Savior.
I am forgiven. I am now born-again. I am now a child of God.
Thank You, Lord.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
