Sonoco Supports Bath Time!
Masco Bath Shower & Tub Supports are a Win-Win
  
Masco Bath was looking for a new solution for their tub and shower supports. Instead of only focusing on stand alone, high-density EPS, which is the traditional approach for Masco's supports, Sonoco engineers created a tri-layer EPP, OSB, and EPS solution to obtain the durability, performance, and quality Masco was looking for. 
   

Additionally, Legacy Sonoco helped locate an OSB supplier who could meet the desired cost targets, and Sonoco will be assembling the "drain backer" for Masco at our facility to help reduce the labor steps for the customer.

 

This solution created a win-win for the Sonoco and the customer and a big CONGRATS goes out to the team involved in getting this project into production!

Wiper Blade Case Study Makes Headlines
   
  
Do you remember in a previous issue of Swing the Bat where we told you about a TransGuard Stand Alone Tote solution that allowed Ford to save $300,000 annually with an ROI in less than one year?  Over the course of a 5 year program, this saves Ford $1.5 million! 
  
In order to continue to promote our TransGuard capabilities, a case study was written up about this project and recently published on Packaging Revolution, a website dedicated to returnable packaging solutions.

first external newsletter designed to be sent out to customers and prospects?
  
Much like Swing the Bat, which is an internal newsletter, Material Handling Monthly an educational newsletter sent out to our customers and prospects in the Material Handling Industry.
  
Launched in June and already having generated several business leads, Material Handling Monthly covers our TransGuard returnable totes & dunnage and the FirmaBrand Pallet line.
