Protective Solutions facility in Findlay, OH named "Zero Defect Supplier" to Mitsubishi.

Jack Redmond, a manufacturer's representative selling to the automotive market, went to the Mitsubishi on Friday, May 17th to accept a Supplier Award in our honor.

Sonoco Protective Solutions has been named as a Zero Defect Supplier to Mitsubishi for 2012 because of our high level of quality parts supplied to that customer.

This award is right in line with our strategy to focus on continuously delighting the customer and delivering on our promises.  Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved in achieving this award and keep up the hard work and dedication!

 Goodbye Cubicles?
Hello Herman Miller FILO moveable workspace walls.

Sonoco Protective Solutions is working on a development project with Herman Miller called the FILO.  This project is to design and manufacture moveable workspace walls and ultimately change the standard cubicle as we know it.

The products being worked on were briefly mentioned in a CBS Sunday Morning new piece on Sunday, May 19, 2013.  Our product is shown around the 3:30 time mark of the video and is mentioned as the "upcoming release" of their moveable office line.

Congrats to everyone involved in the FILO project for your hard work and dedication to continuously delighting the customer!

Ford Motor Company saves $300K per year with TransGuard Stand Alone Tote Solution

Valeo, near the Sonoco Protective Solutions Juarez Plant, supplies Windshield Wiper Blade component assemblies to Ford.

Recently, Sonoco Protective Solutions was able to help Ford save $300K per year until the end of the program by replacing their existing bulk containers and plastic corrugated inserts with a TransGuard Stand Alone Tote solution.

Because of Sonoco's innovative engineering, Ford was able to get a return on investment (ROI) in just one year by switching to TransGuard.  This win supports our TransGuard Material Handling strategy focus of converting as many fabricated solutions to TransGuard as possible.
