HORN RIVER BASIN PRODUCERS GROUP MEETING

BC'S TRANSITION BACK TO THE PST 

 

The Provincial Government has announced new PST information resources for BC businesses.

There will be 3 ways businesses can have their PST questions answered:

A new provincial sales tax notice, General Transitional Rules for the Re-Implementation of the Provincial Sales Tax, has also been issued. The transition rules describe how and when PST applies to transactions that straddle April 1, 2013 (the date we go back to the PST), and coincide with the federal transitional rules.

Registration for PST will start on Jan. 2, 2013.

NEB HEARING ON THE NW MAINLINE KOMIE NORTH EXTENSION

 

The National Energy Board held a hearing in Fort Nelson on Nova Gas application for the NW Mainline Komie North pipeline extension.  Letters of comment can still be submitted.  The transcript of the hearing and further information can be found at:

CANADIAN RED CROSS RECRUITING PEACE RIVER REPRESENTATIVES

 

The Canadian Red Cross is beginning to recruit residents of the Peace River Region of B.C. to train them as Disaster Management volunteers. These volunteers will be trained to assist individuals and families in communities of the Peace River Region that are affected by disasters. The attached documents outline the roles, responsibilities and benefits of Canadian Red Cross DM volunteers and how to register for an online information session about this volunteer opportunity on Tuesday, October 9th, 2012 from 6:30 to 7:30pm.
