BOARD SELECTS DAVID WAGERS TO FILL BOARD VACANCY

Boise, ID  -- 01/12/2015 --  The Boise School District Board of Trustees has selected David Wagers to fill a vacancy on the Board. During its regular monthly meeting, held on Monday, January 12, 2015, Board members voted to select Mr. Wagers to replace Joan Boren who resigned in October. Mr. Wagers was chosen from among thirteen (13) applicants who applied for the vacant position as part of the public trustee appointment process.

 

Mr. Wagers currently serves as President of Idaho Candy Company, has served as President and Vice President on the Anser Charter School Board, and has deep roots in business/finance and in community involvement, including serving as a past member of the Boise Public Schools Education Foundation.  


"We are pleased that so many quality individuals applied for the open seat," said Board President Nancy Gregory.  "We are excited to have David Wagers join us as we plan for the District's future and meet our Vision of graduating each student prepared for college, career and citizenship."  

  

Mr. Wagers was selected by the Board to fulfill the remainder of Boren's six-year term, which will expire on September 6, 2016.
