Getting Involved Series Kicks Off This Sunday!
To kick off our invitation this month for members and friends to Get Involved in our congregation, representatives from dozens of groups will parade through worship this Sunday. Watch for this fun display of so many ways you can get involved, as we carry out our shared ministry together.
At coffee hour between services each of the next three Sundays, you can learn more about some of these groups. This Sunday, folks that can help you Seek the Spirit will be standing by ready to chat and share info: from the choir, book table, adult religious education and humanist forum, to the spiritual work of teaching our children, tending the green earth right on our grounds, and participating in denominational affairs in our wider UU world. We invite you to grow your own soul and Seek the Spirit here in our liberal religious community!

"Invitation to: Seeking the Spirit"
The Reverend Mary Ann Macklin
Our theme for September is Invitation. As we enter our new church year for 2015-2016, we will explore our theme through the congregation's vision statement of "Seeking the Spirit. Building Community. Changing the World." In this worship service, Reverend Macklin will explore the paradoxical world of spirituality within our lives. The new version of our Getting Involved Fair will also be introduced. See Connections Coordinator Shari Woodbury's article on the Getting Involved Fair elsewhere in this issue.
