Burl Slabs - Finding Beauty Within

Beautiful Unique Big Leaf Maple Burl #3934x15

Although our large slabs are still the main attraction, our burl slabs and cross cut slabs are growing tremendously in popularity. A burl is a growth on a tree where the grain has grown in an irregular manner. These growths create some highly figured wood valued for their beauty, uniqueness and rarity. Like our other live edge slabs, they have been vacuum kiln dried and sanded flat.

We have added a gorgeous series of 6/4 English Elm to the website! English Elm is a popular species for natural edge counters, tabletops, and fine furniture; especially for Nakashima style tables. These slabs are a warm brown color and are fairly uniform in shape. They are a perfect option for your next one-piece dining table or book match for a large conference table!
We are also selling some of our lumber in bulk discounts, including this pack of 15 boards of highly figured Bosse. These boards are rough cut, square edge, and kiln-dried with average length of 7' and average width of 12".
