Black Walnut - An All American Wood

Recently, we bought a beautiful Black Walnut log from New York State
that is 63" diameter, 16' long, and 17,000 lbs!

Black Walnut, also known as American Walnut, still remains one of the most popular American woods. One of the reasons for its popularity is that it is very easy to work with, is very stable, strong, and is absolutely gorgeous. Because of its popularity we have been trying to increase our inventory of this wood. We have been finding some amazing Black Walnut logs like the one pictured above that are going to make phenomenal table tops.

Redwood is found in the Coastal Northwestern United States. Old Growth Redwood, like this new series of slabs we have, is a soft wood, but is durable and decay resistant. These 8' long slabs have beautiful deep red-brown color and gorgeous figure; they are fairly uniform in shape and are the perfect size for a stunning one-of-a-kind live edge dining table!

Tulip is a soft wood found in the Eastern United States. It tends to have a creamy white sapwood and a light yellow-brown heartwood, but sometimes you can find more colorful slabs due to mineral staining. This series of 8' long Tulip slabs have gorgeous streaks of purple and green through each of the 10 pieces. These slabs create very unique tabletops, each one having a different variation of color or pattern of streaking.
