River Reclaimed Cypress is perfect for projects where you need a truly unique slab of wood. As these logs lay underwater for hundreds of years they absorbed minerals from the water they were submerged in and the color of the wood became richer and more variegated over time. As a result, each piece we stock is unique in both color and grain. In fact, many of these logs were over 1,000 years old when they were cut down 100-200 years ago. That is why some of the slabs have a V-shape; they were cut down by axe.
