According to the National Bath and Kitchen Association using granite for countertops is decreasing in popularity and using materials such as wood are gaining. People like the nice warm look of wood and it comes in so many rich beautiful colors that it will fit any décor. It is also becoming popular to combine wood with other materials such as granite or marble in the countertop. This creates two areas; one for food prep and another for entertaining. The combinations are endless and can be truly spectacular.
