DOL Adjusts Overtime Regulations
Major changes to the overtime rules under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) are expected to be published by the Department of Labor sometime between May and July 2016.
The proposed changes would raise the minimum salary by which an employee is exempt from being paid overtime. Employees who are currently exempt from the overtime regulations may be affected by these changes.
An overview and FAQs provide more information about these changes. Additional information will be shared as it becomes known. Questions can be directed to Kirk Toliver, tolliver@ipfw.edu, or Carolyn Ladd, ladd@ipfw.edu.
