Summer Dance Classes

Drop-In Classes for Ages 13+

Mikautadze Dance Theatre's artistic director, Elizabeth Mikautadze, is offering modern and ballet classes on Tuesday nights for ages 13 through adult after completing a successful summer intensive with the Community Arts Academy. Going, Going, (Almost) Gone:
Spring Theatre and Art Classes

  • Introduction to Puppetry (Grades 6-12) Saturday, Apr 30 Students taking this workshop will learn the basics of building and performing with a Bunraku-style paper puppet. Bunraku is a Japanese style of puppetry that uses three puppeteers to manipulate a single, large puppet. Class time will be spent building the puppets followed by learning how to create the effect of bringing them to life. 
  • Watercolor: Seascape 
    (Grades 7-12) Saturday, Apr 30
    Paint the ripples of water, reflection of trees and boats and the sandy beach; learn techniques to create the illusion of water and paint a colorful seascape.

Come Together Right Now at the Summer Beatles Seminar!
The presence of the Beatles, the Fab Four, is still with us. Many of their songs are still known and performed throughout the world. The transcendence of their music and lives invites us to study the impact of the Beatles and, perhaps, find some elements in their success that can apply to and impact our own lives.This class is for high school students and will be taught twice this summer by IPFW music faculty member Steve Walley. Call 260-481-6977 or click the link to register.
